Reclaim Your Voice

A course for people who think they can’t sing, shy singers, and beginner singers.

Two Saturdays, 7th and 14th November, 2026
10.00am – 4.00pm

455 Hagley Avenue
$180.00

455 Hagley Avenue, Christchurch

This course is for all those people who think they can’t sing or have been labelled ‘tone deaf’, from those who ‘mime’ in the back row, to those who belt it out while their friends and family cringe. For all those people who feel very shy about singing, or just want to learn to sing better.

Music Play

We currently have a 30 minute musicianship class based in the Kodály approach before each choir. Using an aural and kinesthetic approach, through games, songs and movement, we develop our musicianship – reading, writing, and understanding, as well as foundational skills in keeping time, singing in tune etc.

If you have struggled to learn music theory, these classes will show you that it wasn’t your fault! Great for beginners and experienced musicians who would like to learn a different approach.

These classes are aimed at meeting the needs of people attending the choirs, but can be attended by non choir members.
